Special Adviser, Strategic Planning Sylvain Tessier is an expert in marketing and strategic planning. A graduate of the University of Québec at Trois-Rivières (BAA in Marketing, 1982) and Laval University (MBA, marketing specialty, 1986), Mr. Tessier has a rich and varied experience in marketing. Throughout his career and in parallel to his professional responsibilities, he has been a marketing lecturer at UQTR and for new business incubators and business development centres. He worked eight years for the Cossette Communication Group, where he led both qualitative and quantitative market research studies, developed strategic plans, performed awareness and satisfaction studies etc. He also worked for Zins Beauchesne Secor and for his own independent consulting firm. Other than his position as Director of Research and Strategic Intelligence at Desjardins for two years, he has worked on several contracts for service and manufacturing companies. His dynamic and down-to-earth coaching style complements his ability to deliver appropriate strategic approaches based on many years of experience and his ability to effectively address complex issues.
